The big news, of course, is the tonight's show at Zion Bar and Grille in Greensboro featuring the 2009 Blues Challenge winners Sleepy Eyed-Jay and Chicago Slim, the solo/duo winners and the Charlie Ward Band, the band competition winners. These guys are the best of the 2009 entrants and we expect them to do us proud in Memphis!
Which brings us to the reason for the post. We are sponsoring this show to raise money for these fine acts to make the trip to compete in Memphis next month. So, please come out and lend your support and see a fine, fine show as well. The festivities kick off a 8.00 and there is a minimum $5.00 donation, but feel free to give more.
Zion is located at 5601 Roanne Way in Greensboro, NC 27409-3400 (336) 834-1899. Zion is now a non-smoking environment so for all the folks that used to stay home for these shows because of the smoke, come out and show the smokers they didn't extinguish their butts for no apparent reason.

What a show what a show what a show! Sleepy Eyed Jay and Chicago Slim along with the Charlley Ward band treated a packed house at Zion last night to an evening of fine music. Those of you who attended know what I'm talking about. I'm sure they will both do us proud at the IBC!
